I have been producing and directing television programmes for 25 years.

Since 2004 I have been mostly working on history and archaeology. Before that it was arts and music. Before that live programmes and big events. I started in 1982 in Current Affairs in BBC Belfast.

So I have a wide range of programming behind me.

I am currently making two films for Channel 4: a ninety minute on Henry Viii as a  builder of Palaces; and a sixty minute film on the re-presentation of the keep at Dover Castle as it was in 1180.

In 2008 I made two films for BBC 2 on archaeology in the Thames, and a couple in The Diets That Time Forgot series for C4. I also had two others broadcast: The Real Knights of the Round Table, and Codename: Ainsbrook, which I also shot.

In 2007 I series produced The History Detectives for Lion for BBC 2 and made a couple of docs for C4: Jamestown, America’s Birthplace and Pugin, God of Gothic.

My experience is very wide ranging. I direct, shoot, produce, series produce and executive produce. I have worked in documentaries, on big live events, in music and entertainment and in the arts.

The documentaries include The Worst Jobs in History series, Hobo, Atlantic, and a film on Dusty Springfield.

The events include the Millennium Event for BBC1 and Music Live 2000.
